Let’s get straight to the point. Cape Coral needs a new Mayor. The citizens of Cape Coral are tired of being ignored. Concerns have been pushed aside and even the podium in the council chambers has been moved right next to the door. Is that so people can be expeditiously removed? How crazy is that? The local government couldn’t be more clear about how they feel about the residents of Cape Coral. We have collectively been left behind while developers, special interests, and unbelievably costly projects have taken over. The worst part is that we are being forced to pay for our own replacement. 

The Utility Easement Project, $35,000 and rising, is causing people to flee homeownership. What will the assessment grow to by the time of completion? I can’t even imagine. In every way possible, it feels like the middle class and the American way of life are under attack. Four more years of this nonsense and there will be no way to recover. The damage to the residents’ finances and trust of the local government cannot be overstated. We need immediate corrective action and accountability.

I served more than 32 years in the Army and Retired as a Special Forces Sergeant Major. When duty called, I deployed to the most dangerous, inhospitable and challenging places throughout the world. We were trained in accomplishing the impossible with minimal resources while under constant threat. Today, the fight comes to Cape Coral. We are fighting for our neighbors and our fellow citizens. We cannot stand idly by as our way of life slips from us.

My prime objective is restoring power to the people and easing their financial burden. We will focus on eliminating ridiculous fees, permitting processes and strains on our infrastructure. My top priority is giving the people their voices back and restoring their dignity. Needless to say, the podium in the council chambers will be moved front and center and I will listen and engage with our valued citizens.

What exactly happened here in Cape Coral? Is this intentional? Is it Planned? Is it just greed? These are questions that we will answer. We must never let this happen again. Cape Coral will serve as an example of why you shouldn’t underestimate the American People.

It’s now or never. We need the support of the community and the participation of everyone who lives here. Through this process, we will work together and become a stronger community. It is with great pleasure that I announce my candidacy for Mayor of Cape Coral.
